DESCRIPTION:In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Barbados’ Independence\, The University of the West indies is hosting a series of Public Lectures as one \nOf its main activities.  The series is entitled 1966+\, Beyond the Broken Trident – Achievements\, Challenges and Prospects.  \nHer Honour Senator Kerryann Ifill will deliver the eighth Lecture in the series on Thursday November 3rd 2016 at 7:30 p.m. The venue is the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination\, University of the West Indies\, Cave Hill Campus\, Cave Hill St. Michael.  .  Her topic is “Hearts from coast to coast: Building an Inclusive Barbados.” \nAn invitation is extended to the members. SUMMARY:Special Olympics 5K
DESCRIPTION:The Special Olympics 5K for Understanding Acceptance and Inclusion begins at the Bay Street Esplanade at 4:00 pm\, and each 5K runner and walker will receive a tee-shirt with their $25 race fee. In addition\, younger runners and walkers under the age of 13 can take part in a Kiddies Fun Run 1K\, which also starts at the Esplanade.
