On behalf of the Directors and Members of the Barbados Council for the Disabled please accept our sentiments below to the People of St. Vincent.

MESSAGE TO St. Vincent

As the Government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines continue to suffer under the volcanic events now battering their country, I wish to extend sincere prayers to our Vincentian brothers and sisters; especially all persons living with disabilities.

BCD is encouraged by evident inclusion of the needs of persons with disabilities in the stated evacuation preparations and plans. We urge the Government not to lose sight of the importance of ensuring that the vulnerable members of the community remain included.

As you begin the efforts to rebuild your country in the coming months we also encourage the people of St. Vincent to Build Back Better!

To build a more inclusive environment that will cater to the needs of all people in the country of St. Vincent.

The Barbados Council for the Disabled further encourages our members and the community of Barbados to lend support to the Government and people of St. Vincent to aid in the efforts to regain control of their lives.

Payers and Well wishes to you all.

Consider giving more than just money, give your time !
