Barbados Council For The Disabled Marks 50 Years

The Barbados Council for the Disabled yesterday marked its 50th Anniversary with President, Patricia Padmore-Blackman expressing gratitude to Barbadians generally and various sectors for their support over the years.

During the service held at the St. Leonard’s Anglican Church, Westbury Road, St. Michael, Padmore-Blackman listed the areas of progress the Council was thankful for.

Delivering the feature address was new Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Adrian Forde who announced that discussions were ongoing across Government to have every office outfitted to accommodate members of the disabled community.
