Rotary Club of Barbados South launches AccessAbility: Pathways to Independence Programme
Last week, we launched AccessAbility: Pathways to Independence, a programme designed to empower persons with disabilities with income-generating skills to improve employability and entrepreneurial opportunities. The initiative is funded by the Barbados People Development Unit within the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Third Sector, and in partnership with the Barbados Council for the Disabled.
The two month programme will include sessions such as Career Exploration, Résumé Development, Interview Skills, Accessible Agriculture, Workplace Etiquette, and Entrepreneurship, equipping participants with practical tools to successfully navigate the job market.
The Rotary Club of Barbados South views this programme as part of a broader, long-term effort to foster inclusive employment pathways and remove barriers to equal opportunity.
