A Milestone Made Possible Through Partnership
The Barbados Council for the Disabled extends our heartfelt gratitude to the generous funders whose support made the acquisition of our new accessible bus a reality.
To The Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, The Maria Holder Memorial Trust, CIBC and Consumers Guarantee Insurance, we simply could not have achieved this milestone without you. Your investment goes far beyond the purchase of a vehicle. It is an investment in mobility, independence, inclusion and dignity for persons with disabilities across Barbados.
To Roger Hill from Nassco …thank you for your guidance.
As we celebrate this wonderful addition to our transportation service, we are also looking ahead. The need for accessible transportation continues to grow, and we look forward with optimism to the commitment expressed by Minister Adrian Forde to support the Council in our efforts to secure our next replacement accessible bus.
One bus represents many journeys , to school, appointments, activities and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
To our funders: thank you for travelling this journey with us. Together, we are moving Barbados closer to full inclusion.
